The payment goes straight to your wallet address. It confirms on the blockchain and it's final. You see it land in your dashboard.
Fee
0.5%, and it isn't skimmed off the top.
The fee comes out of a small prepaid balance you top up, not out of each payment. On-chain, your supporter's money reaches you in full. Run the balance to zero and payments still arrive, you just add credit to keep the fee covered.
Finality
No chargebacks. No reversals.
A confirmed on-chain payment cannot be pulled back. No disputes opened three months later, no clawbacks, no holds. What arrives is yours.

Bitcoin and stablecoins.
Take BTC on Bitcoin, or USDC and USDT on Base and Polygon. Your supporter picks; you get paid in what they sent.

Paying someone you follow should feel simple and settled.

Before you sign up
Is this legal / above board?
Yes. Tribute is a payment processor that never takes custody of funds, so it isn't a money transmitter. Payments settle between your supporter and your own wallet. You're responsible for your own tax and reporting, same as any income.
What's the catch with 0.5%?
There isn't one. Tribute doesn't convert currency, doesn't hold a float it earns interest on, and doesn't run payment rails it has to pay a cut of. It watches chains and runs the dashboard. 0.5% covers that.
What if the crypto price moves between payment and me spending it?
You receive exactly what your supporter sent, in the asset they sent it in. Stablecoins (USDC, USDT) track the dollar. Bitcoin moves; hold it or move it to an exchange, your call. Tribute never converts on your behalf.
Can a payment be reversed?
No. Once an on-chain payment has the confirmations Tribute requires, it's final. No chargebacks, no disputes, no holds.

Do I need to understand crypto to use this?
Enough to get a wallet and copy its account key. The onboarding walks you through it, and points you at a wallet if you don't have one. Your supporters need a wallet with some funds in it, nothing more.
